Makes 4 servings.


  • 1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak, ¾” thick
  • 3 T. cornstarch
  • 1 can Swanson seasoned beef broth with onion
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 C green or red pepper strips, fresh or frozen
  • 4 C white or brown rice


  1. Slice beef into very thin strips.
  2. Mix cornstarch, broth, soy, and garlic.
  3. Stir-fry beef in non-stick skillet until browned and juices evaporate.
  4. Add peppers and then the cornstarch mixture.
  5. Cook, stirring until mixture boils and thickens.
  6. Serve over rice.
