Maple Baked Apples

(Milk Free, Wheat Free, Soy Free)
  • 6 Apples
  • 6 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter
Maple Sauce:
  • ½ Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Apple Cider
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch
  • ½ Teaspoon Cloves
  • ½ Teaspoon Nutmeg
Preheat Oven To 375. Core Apples Without Piercing Bottom. Peep Upper Half & Place In A Baking Dish. Drop A Spoonful Of Brown Sugar In Each Apple. In Saucepan, Dissolve Starch In Cool Cider. Add Remaining Ingredients & Heat Until Thickened. Pour Sauce Evenly In Each Apple, Then Top Off With Margarine. Pour ½ Cup Water In Pan & Bake 1 Hour.
