  • Put 1-2 Large Frying Chickens In A Roaster And Completely Cover With Water.
  • Season As Desired.
  • Bake On  300 Degrees For 4 To 5 Hours.
The Chicken Is Very Tender After Such Long Cooking.  Remove It From The Roasting Pan And Take Enough Broth Off To Leave 2 To 2 ½ Inches.  Add Enough Medium Grain Rice To Allow For The Broth To Cover The Rice By An Inch Or So.  Cover The Roaster And Place It Back In The Oven To Bake For 25 Minutes.  Remove From The Oven And Check The Tenderness Of The Rice.  Cover Pan And Allow To Stand In Its Own Heat Until The Rice Is Done. This Makes The Best Rice And Chicken!  You Could Also Try Other Grains Such As Millet Or Barley.
