This Mild And Refreshing Drink Was Popular In Victorian England.
  • ½ Cup Pearl Barley
  • 8 Cups Water
  • ¼ Cup Lemon Juice
  • 4 Teaspoons Sugar Or Honey (Or More)
Bring Water And Barley To A Boil Simmer At Low Heat For About Two Hours. Strain Barley. Cool Liquid Slightly. Add Lemon Juice And Sugar Or Honey. Serve As  Hot Drink Or Chill And Serve Cold.
