Makes 2 servings — from the Yeast Connection Cookbook


  • 2 T. of oil
  • 1/4 C of oat flour or 2 T. arrowroot
  • 3 C of chicken broth
  • 1 C chicken, cooked and shredded
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Heat oil in a 3-quart pot.
  2. Sprinkle the flour or arrowroot over the oil and stir well.
  3. Slowly whisk in the broth.
  4. Cook over low heat until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Add the chicken, salt, and pepper to taste.
