Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 bouillon cubes (beef, chicken, or vegetable)
- 1 C celery, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 whole cloves
- ¼ tsp. dried thyme
- ¾ C pearl barley
- 1 C carrots, diced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- ½ bunch fresh parsley
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
Instructions:
- Put all the ingredients into a large pot.
- Add water and bring to a boil.
- Turn down the heat and simmer for about one hour, or until the vegetables and barley are tender.
