Ingredients:
- 6 apples
- 6 T. brown sugar
- 6 T. butter
Maple Sauce Ingredients:
- ½ C maple syrup
- 1 T. brown sugar
- ½ C apple cider
- 2 T. lemon juice
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- ½ tsp. cloves
- ½ tsp. nutmeg
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and core apples without piercing bottom.
- Peel upper half and place in a baking dish.
- Drop a spoonful of brown sugar in each apple and dissolve starch in a saucepan in cool cider.
- Add remaining ingredients and heat until thickened.
- Pour sauce evenly in each apple, then top off with margarine.
- Pour ½ C water in pan and bake for one hour.
