Ingredients
- 2 C water
- ½ C grits, quick-cooking variety
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil and add salt.
- Slowly stir in the grits and stir for a few more seconds.
- Turn the heat to medium-low and cover the pan.
- Cook for five minutes and stir once or twice.
- Remove from the heat and stir in a pat of butter, if desired.
- Serve hot.
