• 1 lb. fresh or frozen pitted cherries
  • 1 C orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 C water
  • 1 (¼ oz) package unflavored gelatin
  • ½ C sugar


  1. Mash cherries and place in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add orange juice and set aside.
  3. Place water in a small saucepan and sprinkle gelatin over water—allow to soften for five minutes.
  4. Heat on low until gelatin has dissolved.
  5. Pour gelatin mixture into cherry-orange mixture, then add sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
  6. Cool to room temperature, then pour into bowl or mold.
  7. Refrigerate for at least two hours, or until set.
