Ingredients:
- 1 lb. fresh or frozen pitted cherries
- 1 C orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 C water
- 1 (¼ oz) package unflavored gelatin
- ½ C sugar
Instructions:
- Mash cherries and place in a mixing bowl.
- Add orange juice and set aside.
- Place water in a small saucepan and sprinkle gelatin over water—allow to soften for five minutes.
- Heat on low until gelatin has dissolved.
- Pour gelatin mixture into cherry-orange mixture, then add sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
- Cool to room temperature, then pour into bowl or mold.
- Refrigerate for at least two hours, or until set.
