Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients:
- 3 T. butter
- 2 T. minced green onion
- 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
- 1/3 C grated parmesan cheese, optional
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 lbs medium asparagus, trimmed
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a small skillet.
- Saute onion until tender, about three minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in turkey bacon, cheese, and pepper.
- Steam asparagus until tender, about eight minutes and drain.
- Place hot asparagus on serving dish and sprinkle with cheese mixture.
- Serve immediately.
