Makes 6 servings.


  • 3 T. butter
  • 2 T. minced green onion
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 1/3 C grated parmesan cheese, optional
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 lbs medium asparagus, trimmed


  1. Melt butter in a small skillet.
  2. Saute onion until tender, about three minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in turkey bacon, cheese, and pepper.
  4. Steam asparagus until tender, about eight minutes and drain.
  5. Place hot asparagus on serving dish and sprinkle with cheese mixture.
  6. Serve immediately.
